ERROR:
Property ErrorLogFile is not available for JobServer ‘server_name’. This property may not exist for this object.
EXPLANATION:
In SQL Server Management Studio, you may receive this error message when you right-click on the SQL Server Agent in Object Explorer.
SOLUTION:
I’ve seen that this problem is caused by deleting a registry editor value that is used for SQL Server Agent.
Here is an example of the path to the record value:
1 |
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\SQLServerAgent |
If you insert a value that is similar to the following in the ErrorLogFile key on this path, your problem will be solved:
The above path on your system and the following value may be different, these are just examples.
1 |
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Log\SQLAGENT.OUT |
