Run the RECONFIGURE statement to install.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 12.0pt;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Msg 5808, Level 16, State 1, Line 7<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 12.0pt;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Ad hoc update to system catalogs is not supported.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"iqSdPOG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-11163  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/img_5c9cc8040fa21.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"674\" height=\"292\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>SOLUTION:<\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 12.0pt;\">Whe have two options to solve this problem:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 12.0pt;\">\n<h3 style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 12.0pt;\">Solution 1 : (Use RECONFIGURE WITH OVERRIDE on the script)<\/h3>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true\">USE [master] \nGO\nEXEC sp_configure 'show advanced options',1;\nRECONFIGURE WITH OVERRIDE\nGO \nEXEC sp_configure 'recovery interval', '0' --in minutes\nRECONFIGURE WITH OVERRIDE\n<\/pre>\n<p id=\"JSmXkqN\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-11165  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/img_5c9cc85947baa.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"671\" height=\"237\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Georgia; font-size: 12.0pt;\">Solution 2: (Change allow_updates parameter using sp_configure)<\/h3>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">USE [master] \nGO\nEXEC sp_configure 'allow updates',0\nRECONFIGURE WITH OVERRIDE\n<\/pre>\n<p>After executing the above script, you can execute sp_configure without &#8220;WITH OVERRIDE&#8221;. I prefer always using &#8220;WITH OVERRIDE&#8221;.
