{"id":14021,"date":"2019-11-26T06:35:42","date_gmt":"2019-11-26T06:35:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/?p=14021"},"modified":"2019-11-26T06:35:43","modified_gmt":"2019-11-26T06:35:43","slug":"updateuptimeregkey-operating-system-error-5access-is-denied","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/index.php\/2019\/11\/26\/updateuptimeregkey-operating-system-error-5access-is-denied\/","title":{"rendered":"UpdateUptimeRegKey: Operating system error 5(Access is denied.)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is because the user account that the SQL Server service is running on is not authorized in the MSSQL Registry files.<\/p>\n<h2>Solution<\/h2>\n<p>-&gt; Run -&gt; Regedit<br \/>\n-&gt; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE<br \/>\n-&gt; SOFTWARE<br \/>\n-&gt; Microsoft<br \/>\n-&gt; Microsoft SQL Server<\/p>\n<p>Right-click on the corresponding instance Name, grant Full Control authorization to the MSSQL Service account from the permissions tab. The problem will be solved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> If Instance has been upgraded before, the Microsoft SQL Server folder will have reg keys for multiple versions.
