Here You will see the PDBS in Mount State<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true\">SELECT name, open_mode FROM v$pdbs;\n\nNAME&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; OPEN_MODE\n------------------------------ ----------\nPDB$SEED&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; READ ONLY\nNAWAZDB1&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; MOUNTED\nNAWAZDB2&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; MOUNTED<\/pre>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>STEP 4 :-<\/strong><\/span>&nbsp; Change the State Of PDB<\/p>\n<p>Let us now open the 2&nbsp; PDBS, and&nbsp; save the state of NAWAZDB1 to save<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true\">ALTER PLUGGABLE DATABASE NAWAZDB1 OPEN;\nALTER PLUGGABLE DATABASE NAWAZDB2 OPEN;\nALTER PLUGGABLE DATABASE NAWAZDB1 SAVE STATE;<\/pre>\n<p>Now you can check the&nbsp; DBA_PDB_SAVED_STATES view :-<\/p>\n<p>Here it shows the entry of NAWAZDB1&nbsp; as shown below :-<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true\">SELECT con_name, instance_name, state FROM dba_pdb_saved_states;\n\nCON_NAME&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;INSTANCE_NAME&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; STATE\n-------------------- -------------------- --------------\nNAWAZDB1&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;cdb1&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;OPEN\n\nSQL&gt;<\/pre>\n<p>Check the Database Open Mode :-<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true\">SELECT name, open_mode FROM v$pdbs;\n\nNAME&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; OPEN_MODE\n------------------------------ ----------\nPDB$SEED&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; READ ONLY\nNAWAZDB1&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; READ WRITE\nNAWAZDB2&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; the NAWAZDB2 is in Mount State<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true\">SELECT name, open_mode FROM v$pdbs;\n\nNAME&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; OPEN_MODE\n------------------------------ ----------\nPDB$SEED&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; READ ONLY\nNAWAZDB1&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; READ WRITE\nNAWAZDB2&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; MOUNTED\n\nSQL&gt;<\/pre>\n<p>Well Thats it, every time you restart your database you will now be able to see&nbsp; NAWAZDB1 in read\/write mode .<\/p>\n<p>Similary You can discard this change If you want to start the PDB manually everytime you bounce the Instance .<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>STEP 1 :-<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true\">ALTER PLUGGABLE DATABASE NAWAZDB1 DISCARD STATE;\n\nSELECT con_name, instance_name, state FROM dba_pdb_saved_states;\n\nno rows selected\n\nSQL&gt;<\/pre>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>STEP 2 :-<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true\">SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE;\nSTARTUP;\n\nSELECT name, open_mode FROM v$pdbs;\n\nNAME&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; OPEN_MODE\n------------------------------ ----------\nPDB$SEED&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;
