You can find necessary steps in our previous article <a href=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/index.php\/2019\/05\/23\/how-to-install-elasticsearch-on-centos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How To Install Elasticsearch on Centos<\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"rGQpMum\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"599\" height=\"129\" class=\"size-full wp-image-17838 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/img_5fd713e998989.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Install Elasticsearch 7.9 on Centos 7 and 8<\/h3>\n<p>I performed this installation on Centos 7 and Centos 8. So this article covers both Centos version.<\/p>\n<p>First, let&#8217;s create our repository. We write it as follows with the vi command.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">vi \/etc\/yum.repos.d\/kibana.repo<\/pre>\n<p>We open the repo with the vi editor and copy the text below after pressing the i key.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">[kibana-7.x]\r\nname=Kibana repository for 7.x packages\r\nbaseurl=https:\/\/artifacts.elastic.co\/packages\/7.x\/yum\r\ngpgcheck=1\r\ngpgkey=https:\/\/artifacts.elastic.co\/GPG-KEY-elasticsearch\r\nenabled=1\r\nautorefresh=1\r\ntype=rpm-md<\/pre>\n<p>After copying the text above, we save and exit by typing <code>:wq!<\/code>.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s check that our repo has been created with the help of the command below.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">ls -lrh \/etc\/yum.repos.d\/<\/pre>\n<p>It should be formed as kibana.repo as below.<\/p>\n<p id=\"HQvXVEG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"741\" height=\"273\" class=\"size-full wp-image-17839 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/img_5fd7152496f6a.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing this article, since the latest Repo is 7.9.1-1, when we run the yum command below, it will install the latest elasticsearch version. If you want to install a specific Elasticsearch version, you can write the version information in the part indicated by x above in kibana.repo.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">yum install elasticsearch -y<\/pre>\n<p>After the installation is complete, we enable the service.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">systemctl enable elasticsearch.service<\/pre>\n<p>After our service is enabled, let&#8217;s start the service.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">systemctl start elasticsearch.service<\/pre>\n<p>Our Elasticsearch service is ready to be used now. Let&#8217;s check the status of our service with the help of the command below.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">systemctl status elasticsearch.service<\/pre>\n<p>You may need some configurations after installation.
