{"id":39284,"date":"2022-04-17T11:14:57","date_gmt":"2022-04-17T11:14:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/?p=39284"},"modified":"2022-04-17T12:09:49","modified_gmt":"2022-04-17T12:09:49","slug":"oracle-business-process-management-11-1-7-0-installation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/index.php\/2022\/04\/17\/oracle-business-process-management-11-1-7-0-installation\/","title":{"rendered":"Oracle Business Process Management 11.1.7.0 Installation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In today&#8217;s article, I will explain the 1st part of Oracle Business Process Management 11.1.7.0 Installation.<\/p>\n<p>This setup has also been tested on Oracle Linux 6.7 operating system.<\/p>\n<p>First of all, we create a folder named &#8220;OracleSetup&#8221; in the root directory of the operating system that we have installed according to the Oracle Linux 6 Setup document.<\/p>\n<p>Then we will put our installation files in this folder that we created. For convenience, you can create folders and folder permissions with WinSCP.<\/p>\n<p>Create a folder \u201cOracleSetup\u201d on the Root Directory and upload your \u201cofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.7.0\u201c folder here.<\/p>\n<p>Then right-click on the &#8220;OracleSetup&#8221; folder, right-click properties, make the &#8220;Octate&#8221; field &#8220;7777&#8221;, mark &#8220;Group, owner and permissions apply to subfolder&#8221; and press the &#8220;OK&#8221; button, so we will give full access to OracleSetup and its subfolders.<\/p>\n<p>First we will check our \/etc\/hosts\/ file. We always use DNS resolution facility in case the ip infrastructure may change in the future, so if the IP addresses change one day, it will be enough to edit the \/etc\/hosts file or change it through the dns server.<\/p>\n<p>Open terminal window with root user and run the following command. Let&#8217;s save and exit by arranging the opened window according to the example below.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \"># gedit \/etc\/hosts\r\n&lt;IP-address&gt; &lt;fully-qualified-machine-name&gt; &lt;machine-name&gt;<\/pre>\n<p>Sample;<br \/>\n192.168.42.190 db.bugraparlayan.com db (we specify repo db path)<br \/>\n192.168.42.191 bpm.bugraparlayan.com bmp (we specify bpm path, current bpm machine)<\/p>\n<p>Now that our Host file control, folder and file copying processes are finished, we can start the installation.<\/p>\n<p id=\"GnCVYCA\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1086\" height=\"728\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39285 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625beea6e0423.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While starting the Oracle BPM preparations, we will first install jrockit-jdk1.6.0_45. For this, we open a terminal window with the &#8220;Oracle&#8221; user.<\/p>\n<p>Since our jrockit file is a *.bin file, we will make a small change before installation. We execute the following command to make our file work.<\/p>\n<p>To install Java JDK 1.6.0.45<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">https:\/\/www.oracle.com\/java\/technologies\/javase-java-archive-javase6-downloads.html#jdk-6u45-oth-JPR<\/pre>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \"># Cd \/\r\n# chmod +x jrockit-jdk1.6.0.45-r28\u2026\u2026\r\n# .\/jrockit-jdk1.6.0.45-r28\u2026\u2026<\/pre>\n<p id=\"MJuOujz\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"582\" height=\"387\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39286 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bef3ba3119.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Our .bin file will be extracted and our Jrockit installation will start, we continue by pressing the \u201cNEXT\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p id=\"GQCMsTk\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"598\" height=\"434\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39287 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bef5b5a7f5.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Jrockit asks us for the directory name for installation. Since our directory name is too long, we edit the line to leave it as in the example. We continue by pressing the \u201c \/home\/oracle\/jrockit-jdk1.6.0_45 \u201c , \u201c NEXT \u201c button.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ruCREiB\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"434\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39288 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf02491d26.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We continue by pressing the \u201cNEXT\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p id=\"dLoubda\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"430\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39289 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf03d6a8d6.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our installation will start and complete automatically, a convenience of working on Linux is that we don&#8217;t need to do any extra work like we do with Windows.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ZMWlsAy\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"601\" height=\"430\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39290 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf06705ae8.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our Jrockit installation is complete. We close the screen by saying \u201cDONE\u201d and move on to other steps.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ucotYxU\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"430\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39291 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf08863ca6.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After installing Jrockit, we will process for Weblogic. Since our Weblogic file has *.jar extension, we still need to work with a command. Open a new terminal window with the \u201cOracle\u201d user and execute the commands below.<\/p>\n<p>To install Oracle Weblogic 10.3.6<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">https:\/\/www.oracle.com\/middleware\/technologies\/weblogic-server-installers-downloads.html<\/pre>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \"># cd \/\r\n# cd \/OracleSetup\r\n# java \u2013jar wls1036_generic.jar<\/pre>\n<p id=\"ZHRRSoV\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"582\" height=\"387\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39292 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf10af2f2a.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The installation will start automatically and continue by pressing the \u201cNEXT\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p id=\"MYCgshX\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"599\" height=\"431\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39294 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf15ed8549.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Weblogic will ask us for the installation directory, leave it as it is, click the &#8220;NEXT&#8221; button and continue.<\/p>\n<p id=\"cZGpmRL\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"601\" height=\"430\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39295 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf17f495d2.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We are asked for a username and password for the support account. Since we don&#8217;t have it, we remove the paddy. Click on the \u201cNEXT\u201d button and continue.<\/p>\n<p id=\"cZIoiAA\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"599\" height=\"428\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39296 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf2739e7ab.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We select the \u201cCUSTOM\u201d installation and click the \u201cNEXT\u201d button to continue.<\/p>\n<p id=\"OMRnowp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"598\" height=\"432\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39297 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf29d3c23c.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On this screen, we only remove the &#8220;evaluation database&#8221; pad. Click on the \u201cNEXT\u201d button and continue.<\/p>\n<p id=\"kWvQVYm\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"602\" height=\"431\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39298 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf310311eb.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On this screen, weblogic will ask us for the path to Jrockit, click &#8220;Browse&#8221; and select the directory jrockit-jdk1.6.0_45 from the screen that appears. The arrangement will be as follows. Continue by clicking the \u201cNEXT\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p id=\"CfyyQon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"597\" height=\"426\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39299 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf36b0d51d.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We continue by clicking the &#8220;NEXT&#8221; button without changing the Weblogic installation paths.<\/p>\n<p id=\"VnOxizg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"430\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39300 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf38c15308.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Weblogic brings us to the installation phase by giving us a final breakdown. Continue by clicking the \u201cNEXT\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p id=\"BYwFTJQ\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"598\" height=\"432\" class=\"size-full wp-image-39301 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/img_625bf3b14f06e.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our installation has started, when the process is finished, we complete the installation by pressing the \u201cDONE\u201d button.
