Transactions were performed using Centos 7 and PostgreSQL 13.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">MySQL Database      : 192.168.1.60\r\nPostgreSQL Database : 192.168.1.61<\/pre>\n<p>1. We create a user in the MySQL database and give the created user privileges on which database will be processed.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">mysql&gt; CREATE USER 'user_fdw'@'%' IDENTIFIED BY '&lt;password&gt;'\r\nmysql&gt; grant select,insert,update,delete on test to user_fdw@'%';\r\nmysql&gt; FLUSH PRIVILEGES;<\/pre>\n<p>2. We install the MySQL client on the PostgreSQL server.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">$ yum -y install mysql\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>3. After installation, we test connection to MySQL database.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">$ mysql -u user_fdw -p -h 192.168.1.60\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>4. Install the mysql_fdw package on the PostgreSQL server.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">$ yum -y install mysql_fdw\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>5. We create the extension installed in the PostgreSQL database.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">testdb=# create extension mysql_fdw;\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>6. We are creating a foreign server.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">testdb=# CREATE SERVER mysql_svr FOREIGN DATA WRAPPER mysql_fdw\r\nOPTIONS (host '192.168.1.60',port '3306');\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>7. We create mapping for MySQL database user.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">testdb=# CREATE USER MAPPING FOR public SERVER mysql_svr OPTIONS \r\n(username 'user_fdw',password '&lt;password&gt;');\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>8.
