We can do this disable process in 2 ways.<\/p>\n<h4>Without using the FORCE option<\/h4>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">SYNTAX\r\nDISABLE FAST_START FAILOVER;\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>This is how the system works when this command is run.<\/p>\n<p>The broker disables Fast-start Failover first in Target Standby Database and then in Primary Database. Writes this information to the Broker configuration file. Then it sends this information to all databases in Environment.<\/p>\n<h4>Disable with FORCE option<\/h4>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">SYNTAX \r\nDISABLE FAST_START FAILOVER FORCE;<\/pre>\n<p>In case the Primary Database does not communicate with the Fast-start Failover Target Standby Database, the operation of the system is as follows if this command is run on the Primary or other Standby Databases with the FORCE option.<\/p>\n<p>In whichever database it was run, it is disabled only in that database for the moment.<\/p>\n<p>It is only written to the Broker configuration file of the running database for the moment.<\/p>\n<p>It then sends this change to all Broker configurations that communicate with the Primary in the Environment.<\/p>\n<p>If the Primary Database does not communicate with the Fast-start Failover Target Standby Database, the operation of the system is as follows if this command is run on the Target Standby Database with the FORCE option.<\/p>\n<p>Fast-start Failover is disabled only in Target Standby Database. When the Target Standby Database reconnects with the Primary, the Primary Database is also disabled.<\/p>\n<p>In the light of this information, it would be best to run the Fast-start Failover disable command in either Primary or bystander Standby.<\/p>\n<p>Disable steps are below.<\/p>\n<p>1. Disable command is executed<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">DGMGRL&gt; disable fast_start failover;\r\nDisabled.\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>2. We check if it is disabled.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">DGMGRL&gt; show configuration verbose\r\n\r\nConfiguration - Broker_Configuration\r\n\r\n  Protection Mode: MaxPerformance\r\n  Databases:\r\n    primary - Primary database\r\n    standby - Physical standby database\r\n    logical - Logical standby database\r\n\r\n  Properties:\r\n    FastStartFailoverThreshold      = '100'\r\n    OperationTimeout                = '30'\r\n    FastStartFailoverLagLimit       = '900'\r\n    CommunicationTimeout            = '180'\r\n    ObserverReconnect               = '15'\r\n    FastStartFailoverAutoReinstate  = 'TRUE'\r\n    FastStartFailoverPmyShutdown    = 'TRUE'\r\n    BystandersFollowRoleChange      = 'ALL'\r\n    ObserverOverride                = 'FALSE'\r\n    ExternalDestination1            = ''\r\n    ExternalDestination2            = ''\r\n    PrimaryLostWriteAction          = 'CONTINUE'\r\n\r\nFast-Start Failover: DISABLED\r\n\r\nConfiguration Status:\r\nSUCCESS\r\n<\/pre>\n<p>OperationTimeout: It is the maximum time that the broker will wait to receive and set parameters that can be monitored with health check.<\/p>\n<p>CommunicationTimeout: Shows the broker&#8217;s waiting time before the network communication between databases in the broker configuration falls into timeout.<\/p>\n<p>3.
