{"id":54940,"date":"2023-08-30T12:59:32","date_gmt":"2023-08-30T12:59:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/?p=54940"},"modified":"2023-10-22T13:19:04","modified_gmt":"2023-10-22T13:19:04","slug":"single-instance-19c-database-installation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/index.php\/2023\/08\/30\/single-instance-19c-database-installation\/","title":{"rendered":"Single Instance 19C Database Installation Part 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In today&#8217;s article, we will be learning the first part of Single Instance 19C Database Installation with Oracle Grid Infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Oracle Database can be installed on local disks as well as on Grid architecture.<\/p>\n<p>Running on the grid has advantages in terms of both control and usage.<\/p>\n<p>Note: You can obtain the installation files and installation tools related to Oracle products from the address below with a free user account.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true \">\u201chttps:\/\/edelivery.oracle.com\/osdc\/faces\/Home.jspx \u201d<\/pre>\n<p>We will complete our installation-related sections in order as follows.<\/p>\n<p>Part 1: Oracle Linux 7 Operating system installation<br \/>\nPart 2: Gird Infrastructure preparation and setup<br \/>\nPart 3: Oracle Database 19c preparation and installation<\/p>\n<p>We start the installation by mounting the operating system .iso file that we downloaded from Oracle.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_1-1024x740.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_2-1024x766.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"766\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">It is recommended that the operating system language be English in order to avoid a problem in Oracle Database products.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_3-1024x766.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"766\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">On the installation screen, we will first make our Date \/ Time settings. We enter the &#8220;DATE &amp; TIME&#8221; menu.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_4-1024x736.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"736\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">We do the City part in Istanbul and we debut by saying &#8220;Done&#8221;.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_5-1024x738.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"738\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">In this section, we will make the keyboard settings. Turkish Q can be selected as the keyboard. We enter the &#8220;KEYBOARD&#8221; menu.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_6-1024x767.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"767\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">We choose \u201dTURKISH\u201d from the new menu that opens with the \u201c+\u201d sign at the bottom left and add it by saying \u201cadd\u201d.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_7-1024x766.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"766\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Since I will not use an English keyboard, I removed the other keyboard settings with the \u201d \u2013 \u201d sign. We return to the setup screen by saying &#8220;Done&#8221;.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_8-1024x739.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"739\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">In this section, we will select additional packages for the operating system. We enter the &#8220;SOFTWARE SELECTION&#8221; menu.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_9-1024x761.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"761\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Click on the &#8220;SERVER WITH GUI&#8221; tab on the left side of the drop-down menu and select the &#8220;JAVA Platform, KDE and Compability Library packages&#8221; from the right, click the &#8220;Done&#8221; button and return.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_8-1-1024x739.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"sfPWJHV\">Now we will do our disk settings. This is an important part. Click on the &#8220;SYSTEM&#8221; menu.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_10-1024x725.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"725\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">I will shape the disk structure manually. I start the formatting process by clicking the &#8220;I will configure partitioning&#8221; button and clicking &#8220;done&#8221;.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_11-1024x764.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"764\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Disc production will be standard. For this reason, while selecting &#8220;Standard Partition&#8221; from the pop-up window, I click on the &#8220;+&#8221; button on the left.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_12-1024x766.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"766\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">I will add the boot partition first by clicking the &#8220;+&#8221; button. I edit it as on the screen and press the &#8220;add mount point&#8221; button.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_13-1024x764.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"764\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">By pressing the &#8220;+&#8221; button. In the second step, I will need Swap space. I edit it as on the screen and press the &#8220;add mount point&#8221; button.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_14-1024x764.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"764\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">By pressing the &#8220;+&#8221; button, I add space for EFI boot in the third step. I edit it as on the screen and click the &#8220;add mount point&#8221; button.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_15-1024x765.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"765\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Finally, I will add the remaining capacity on the disk to Root by pressing the \u201d + \u201d button. We edit it as on the screen and click the &#8220;add mount point&#8221; button.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_16-1024x767.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"767\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Disk configuration is ready, I save the changes by saying &#8220;done&#8221;.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_17-1024x766.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"766\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">I save the changes with &#8220;Accept Changes&#8221;.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_18-1024x755.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"755\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Now I will do the Network settings. During the first installation on Linuz, the Network is turned off unless you specify otherwise. I bring the button in the upper right to the &#8220;ON&#8221; position and activate my Network card and come to the &#8220;Configure&#8221; menu from the bottom right.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_19-1024x754.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"754\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">In the menu that opens, I select the &#8220;Automatically connect to this network when it is avaiable&#8221; option from the &#8220;General&#8221; tab. In this way, the network will be automatically active on every reboot. Now it&#8217;s time to give IP<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_20-1024x757.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"757\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">I&#8217;m assignment an empty ip address from the IPv4 Settings section. I log out by saying &#8220;Save&#8221;. Finally, I return to the setup screen by saying &#8220;Done&#8221;.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_21-1024x739.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"739\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Since our config structure was done properly, the &#8220;Begin Installation&#8221; button became active. I start the installation by pressing the button.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_22-1024x733.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"733\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">On the screen that comes up, it asks me to open a &#8220;Root&#8221; password and user. I continue by doing the appropriate actions.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_23-1024x740.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"KyIFJLN\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_25-1024x761.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_27-1024x740.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"740\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">On the screen that opens after the reboot, we are asked to accept the license agreement. I come to the &#8220;License Information&#8221; section.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_28-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">I accept the relevant agreement and go back with the &#8220;Done&#8221; button.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_29-1024x765.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"765\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Finally, I open the operating system by saying &#8220;Finish Configuration&#8221;.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p id=\"JzDMQKv\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_24-1024x738.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_26-1024x741.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"741\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The installation process is complete. I reboot the operating system by saying &#8220;Reboot&#8221;.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cozumpark.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Screenshot_30-1024x769.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"769\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">While I was giving the root password, I also opened a user named &#8220;Bugra&#8221;, but I will do my operations with the root user.
