{"id":55875,"date":"2024-02-26T16:36:48","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T16:36:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/?p=55875"},"modified":"2024-02-26T16:39:23","modified_gmt":"2024-02-26T16:39:23","slug":"flashback-data-archive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/index.php\/2024\/02\/26\/flashback-data-archive\/","title":{"rendered":"Flashback Data Archive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Flashback Data Archive historically stores changes in the database for a retention period determined at the table level.<\/p>\n<p>Data at the desired moment is retrieved with Flashback Query or Flashback Versions Query.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yzUtVEh\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"726\" height=\"170\" class=\"size-full wp-image-55876 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img_65dcb62019086.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It works at the table level, UNDO works much more effectively without reaching this result by setting the size of TABLESPACE too large.<\/p>\n<p>The working principle is as follows.<\/p>\n<p id=\"KacehCM\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1196\" height=\"730\" class=\"size-full wp-image-55877 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/img_65dcb7bf5f230.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once activated, the FBDA background process is created.<\/p>\n<p>FBDA captures the changing data from UNDO and Buffer Cache every 5 minutes and writes it to the FDA1 table.<\/p>\n<p>Its management is done entirely internally.<\/p>\n<p>The FBDA process can create up to 10 slave processes when necessary.<\/p>\n<p>It automatically purges old data when the retention period comes.<\/p>\n<p>If the OPTIMIZE DATA clause is used, the data is kept compressed and deduplicated.<\/p>\n<p>Historical Data is kept in a partitioned manner. At least 1 day and 1 MB.<\/p>\n<p>If FBDA and Slave processes are too busy, the user&#8217;s response time will slow down.<\/p>\n<p>By default, collection_level is NONE.
