Allow Null Values \u200b\u200bto be inserted.<\/p>\n<p>In the following script, we create a table named CheckConstraintTable and a check constraint named CheckConstraintOrnek.<\/p>\n<p>The Check Constraint forces the values \u200b\u200bentered for column 1 to be greater than 2 and the values \u200b\u200bentered for column 2 to be smaller than 5.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true\">CREATE TABLE CheckConstraintTablo (kolon1 int, kolon2 int);\r\nGO\r\nALTER TABLE CheckConstraintTablo\r\nADD CONSTRAINT CheckConstraintOrnek CHECK (kolon1&gt;2 AND kolon2 &lt;5 );<\/pre>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After Create the Check Constraint, let&#8217;s write two insert statements, one to be successful and the other to fail.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true\">USE [Test]\r\nGO\r\nINSERT INTO [dbo].[CheckConstraintTablo]([kolon1],[kolon2])VALUES(3,4)\r\nGO\r\nINSERT INTO [dbo].[CheckConstraintTablo]([kolon1],[kolon2])VALUES(1,4)<\/pre>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first insert in the script above provides values \u200b\u200bfor column1 and column2 in the check constraint.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the insert operation will be successful.<\/p>\n<p>The second insert provides the desired value for column 2.<\/p>\n<p>But the insert will not occur as it does not provide the desired value for column 1.<\/p>\n<p>When we run the query, the first insert is done by saying &#8220;1 rows affected&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>But the second insert did not occur and the following error returned.<\/p>\n<p>The INSERT statement conflicted with the CHECK constraint\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/546.png\" width=\"524\" height=\"239\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As another example of CHECK constraint, you can force it to enter only digits as follows.<\/p>\n<p>If the first person to create the table does not create a column as an int and you want to enter only int values \u200b\u200binto that column, it might useful.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"lang:default decode:true\">ALTER TABLE CheckConstraintTablo\r\nADD CONSTRAINT CheckConstraintOrnek CHECK(kolon1\u00a0 LIKE '%[0-9]%');<\/pre>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You can increase these examples.
