I unset this checkbox in this step and skip this step.<\/p>\n<p id=\"RRREjSC\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9802  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c72ea5fd1f20.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"716\" height=\"539\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> It warns us that we do not specify email in the previous step. Choose &#8220;Skip software updates&#8221; and click Next.<\/p>\n<p id=\"CyaDgwU\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9804  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c72ebe4e632b.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"734\" height=\"558\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> In this step, I am going to install Oracle Database Software by selecting &#8220;Install database software only&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p id=\"cUHMptt\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"761\" height=\"568\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9806  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c74021e2d210.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> In this step, I select the structure of the database to be installed.(Single instance or Real Application Cluster)<\/p>\n<p>I will install single instance database. For this, I&#8217;m choosing the first option and moving forward.<\/p>\n<p id=\"fHuddxH\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9807  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c740403a725a.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"688\" height=\"517\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 6:<\/strong> In this step, I choose Oracle Software Language in English.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mKgqeRT\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9808  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c740440a3a9b.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"527\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 7:<\/strong> I choose the version of the database in this step. Since the full version is Enterprise Edition, I continue by checking this version.<\/p>\n<p id=\"HhmYITo\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9809  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c740482eb203.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"713\" height=\"544\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 8:<\/strong> This step is an important step. I set the Oracle base parameter to &#8220;\/Oracle&#8221;. In the&#8221; Software Location &#8221; section, I specify the folder that we will install the software. This is our oracle home.<\/p>\n<p id=\"OTrJYzS\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9810  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c74552ca5257.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"543\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 9:<\/strong> In this step, I select the operating system&#8217;s Database operator group as dba.<\/p>\n<p id=\"nkEHNWC\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9811  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745618be8a8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"735\" height=\"554\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 10:<\/strong> At this step, Oracle checks the configurations required for installation. If there is no problem, click Next.<\/p>\n<p id=\"rmqDiOW\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9812  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745679d1bfe.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"543\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 11:<\/strong> After we have determined all the variables and configurations related to Oracle Software, we start the installation.<\/p>\n<p id=\"AEAeWCy\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9814  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c7456ea9469b.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"715\" height=\"538\" \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"uxknZVl\"><strong>Step 12:<\/strong> In this step, we need to run the oracle&#8217;s configuration scripts with the root user to complete the Oracle software installation. Copy the root.sh script and run it with the Root user from the linux operating system.<\/p>\n<p id=\"OsNiaTA\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9815  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c7457b01ad79.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"732\" height=\"465\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 13:<\/strong> Since all configurations and parameters are set correctly, Oracle software installation has been successfully completed as follows.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/salihdeveci.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/10\/14.png\" alt=\"14\" width=\"769\" height=\"580\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 14:<\/strong> After the Oracle software installation is completed, we will now create the database . We create the database instance with the dbca (database configuration assistant) tool that comes with Oracle software. For this, we run dbca from the linux command screen as follows.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"\">[oracle@kuheylan database]$<strong>dbca<\/strong><\/pre>\n<p id=\"PhOnxfi\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"383\" height=\"275\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9818  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745913cf987.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the next screen, click Next to proceed.<\/p>\n<p id=\"KZzJNOK\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9819  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745a488ceaf.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"493\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 15:<\/strong> To create a new database in this step, select Create a Database and click Next.<\/p>\n<p id=\"dcqIJcm\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9820  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745aa6da8f3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"714\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 16:<\/strong> In this step, we select Custom Database and proceed.<\/p>\n<p id=\"IviUrHz\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9821  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745ba1271b9.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"715\" height=\"509\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 17:<\/strong> In this step, we give a name to the database.<\/p>\n<p id=\"EbTtYdz\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9822  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745c1b4ff62.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"693\" height=\"490\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 18:<\/strong> In this step, we configure Enterprise Manager(the application that can manage the database). Optionally, we may not choose Enterprise Manager during initial setup.<\/p>\n<p id=\"cnsLOUM\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9823  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745ce140992.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"509\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 19:<\/strong> In this step, we set the passwords of authorized users of the database for the security of the database. I&#8217;m writing the password by selecting the second option. Thus, all users will have the same password.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ZpSrRRh\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9824  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745dd3b5a7e.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"723\" height=\"508\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 20:<\/strong> In this step, there is a warning that the password we wrote above does not comply with oracle security policies. We are proceeding by clicking Yes.<\/p>\n<p id=\"sPLebTT\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9825  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745decca9d2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"707\" height=\"499\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 21:<\/strong> In this step, we select the storage type where the database data will be stored. You can select File System or ASM (Automatic Storage Managemen) from Storage type. I select the following options and click Next to continue.<\/p>\n<p id=\"bkafKFO\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9826  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745e6c83b23.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"719\" height=\"510\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 22:<\/strong> In this step, we determine the Fast Recovery Area option required for Backup and recovery.<\/p>\n<p id=\"iSNUujy\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9827  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745f6367f6a.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"718\" height=\"502\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 23:<\/strong> In this step, we determine the extra components that can be used for the database.<\/p>\n<p id=\"DCkOJlw\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9828  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c745fa128f96.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"719\" height=\"501\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 24:<\/strong> In this step, we determine the amount of Memory that the Oracle database will use. The memory value for the database of Enterprise applications is generally 40% of the server memory. This value can be changed according to need. You should read &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/index.php\/2018\/07\/21\/oracle-memory-components-sga-and-pga\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Oracle Memory Components(SGA and PGA)<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/salihdeveci.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/10\/29.png\" alt=\"27\" width=\"723\" height=\"503\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 25:<\/strong> In this step, we determine the Block size that Database data will use on the operating system and the number of processes that will perform Oracle tasks on the operating system as follows.<\/p>\n<p id=\"UhRNHTn\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9830  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c7460821ef08.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"717\" height=\"505\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 26:<\/strong> Set the database character set in this step as follows and proceed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/salihdeveci.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/10\/27.png\" alt=\"29\" width=\"732\" height=\"519\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 27:<\/strong> In this step, we set the Redo log groups, Datafiles, Tablespace and Control files of the database. You can also create the Database without making these configurations.<\/p>\n<p id=\"gFMvMhq\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"749\" height=\"525\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9832  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c74618565961.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 28:<\/strong> We set the size of each Redo log group to 100MB as follows. You can give different sizes according to your need.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/salihdeveci.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/10\/31.png\" alt=\"31\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 29:<\/strong> In this step we set the size of each Datafile as follows.<\/p>\n<p id=\"kMtrQgA\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"532\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9834  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c7461e8e7853.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 30:<\/strong> set datafile&#8217;s Increment size and Maximum size as follows.<\/p>\n<p id=\"HDLiKth\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9836  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c7462dd722e8.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"729\" height=\"512\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 31:<\/strong> You can specify the remaining datafiles and objects according to the needs as above. I&#8217;m not going to show them all. I&#8217;m going to create the database.<\/p>\n<p id=\"sKPszYT\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9837  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c74632f7a382.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"733\" height=\"559\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 32:<\/strong> After making all the configurations of the database in this step, we proceed by clicking Finish.<\/p>\n<p id=\"cgxmpxA\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-9838  aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/dbtut.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/img_5c74636571176.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"558\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 33:<\/strong> This step shows the summary of the configurations of the database to be created.
