What is Oracle Cloud Free Tier?

Oracle Cloud Free Tier  is a free service that allows you to use Oracle Autonomous Database and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure products for an unlimited period of time.

Oracle Cloud Free Tier includes two components. These :

1. Always Free (New program)
2. 30-day Free Trial with $300 credits (Current program)

The products and features that can be used free of charge with the Always Free program are as follows.

Autonomous Database

According to the selection, there are 2 databases that can be used either as Autonomous Transaction Processing or Autonomous Data Warehouse. 1 OCPU and 20 GB of disk space in each database.

Compute

2 virtual machines, each with 1/8 OCPU and 1 GB of memory.

Storage

Total 100 GB 2 block volume, 10 GB Object Storage. 10 GB Archive Storage.

Additional Services

• Load Balancer with 1 instance with 10 Mbps bandwidth capacity.
• For the Monitor, 500 million ingestion datapoints, 1 billion retrieval points.
• For the Notifications, 1 million delivery options per month and 1000 emails.
• For Outbound Data Transfer, 10 TB per month.

In addition to the free 30-day trial versions, this program will allow developers to build applications using any language and framework on top of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Autonomous Database. They will start quickly without waiting for the acquisition and learning of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Oracle also provides rich, free developer tools for developers to develop and deploy faster database applications in the Oracle Autonomous Database like Oracle Application Express (APEX), SQL Developer Web, Oracle Cloud Developer Image.
