ORA 12638 Credential Retrieval Failed

In today’s article, we will talk about ORA 12638 credential retrieval failed tips.

For the solution, we need to make the following change in sqlnet.ora

Instead of

SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS)

1	SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS)

This is written

SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NONE)

1	SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NONE)

This error will be fixed.

$ vi sqlnet.ora
SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NONE)

1 2	$ vi sqlnet.ora SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NONE)
