ASM Configuration Assistant (ASMCA), which helps for Oracle disk configuration, is a tool we use to manage Oracle ASM management, disk groups and the volumes attached to these groups.
You can manage ASMCA from the user interface as well as via the command line,
but this time the innovation is for the user interface.
With the new Oracle Database 18C, ASMCA comes with an easier to use and endearing GUI interface.
With this interface, you can perform basic operations through the menu as before, and you can take faster steps for pre-definitions.
Now let’s write ASMCA and examine the new interface.
On the splash screen, you can see the menus to perform and display basic functions.
You can review instances states.
You can review and edit disk groups.
Frankly, as Oracle developed versions and integrated into the cloud structure, it started to give importance to interface designs.
When we look from old products to new products, there are now smoother lines and user-friendly interfaces.
I hope this process, where there are great developments especially in the Fusion Middleware family, will be seen quickly in all products.
