Editing And Deleting User Accounts

In today’s article I will explain how to Editing And Deleting User Accounts in the database.

First of all, the person who will edit must have “ALTER USER” system authority.

1. To give a certain quota in any tablespace:

SQL> ALTER USER BURCU QUOTA 100M ON USERS;

1	SQL> ALTER USER BURCU QUOTA 100M ON USERS;

2. To lock the user:

SQL> ALTER USER BURCU ACCOUNT LOCK;

1	SQL> ALTER USER BURCU ACCOUNT LOCK;

3. To unlock:

SQL> ALTER USER BURCU ACCOUNT UNLOCK;

1	SQL> ALTER USER BURCU ACCOUNT UNLOCK;

To delete a user, the status of the user is set to LOCKED. After being LOCKED for a while, the deletion takes place.

SQL> DROP USER BURCU CASCADE;

1	SQL> DROP USER BURCU CASCADE;
